Disney - Be Our Guest & Le Celier - 2015

The sit down meals were the time I was most excited to enjoy the best foods Disney has to offer. We ate a late dinner at Be Our Guest for New Year's Eve so that we could ensure we had a great view of the fireworks at midnight, just outside. Beauty and the Beast is my absolute favorite Disney movie, so I was looking forward to this, like a kid on Christmas Eve. The setting and atmosphere were absolutely gorgeous. (This is when I wish I had a higher quality camera with the low lighting.) I am fairly certain I must have gasped at how gorgeous this was when we walked in.

Does this scream Disney magic or what?

As I am going back trying to match our meals with the gluten free menu, I am quite certain they have changed their menu since our visit. I have to laugh at the fact that the first thing my daughter ate at dinner was her chicken, as I realized after the fact that her meal only looks half there. I promise she had a full meal.

Part of my daughter's dinner. She ate the chicken before I managed a pic.

Knowing I was planning on enjoying dessert and after several higher calorie meals on this visit, I opted for a lighter dinner with the grilled chicken and vegetables. It tasted much better than it looks in the picture.

My dinner, which happened to taste way better than it looked.

Ensuring they didn't disappoint, even the dessert was fancy. This is the raspberry gluten free cream puff, which from the looks of what I am finding online is also no longer available. I think my daughter ate more of this than I could on this trip though.

Yes, of course we stood in line after dinner to take a picture with our host for the evening. This is the only place in the park where you can capture a picture with The Beast.

The fireworks just outside the castle gave a wonderful view of both sets of fireworks being set off.

I still get that happy feeling of magic every time I see Cinderella's castle lit up!

Now for the even fancier dinner, Le Celier in Epcot's Canada. I know there are other times of the year to visit Disney, but I might have a small obsession with how magical it feels all decorated during the holidays.

Dinner was definitely an indulgence and one we looked forward to all day. I admit to being a bit of a snob initially because there weren't any characters at this dinner, but the meal absolutely made up for it. How's this for fancy fillet mignon?

I thought my daughter's attention span at eight might not have been up for a fancy sit down restaurant, but she managed to do quite well. Maybe that's why my friend made sure we had a long day before dinner to wear her out.

And yes, they brought out my special Happy Birthday dessert, definitely more than a cupcake here. This creme brulee was one of those desserts I wished I was home because licking the dish would have been ok to attempt.

When you visit Disney, figure out what your priorities are and remember it's ok to not try to tackle everything in one visit. Your sanity will absolutely thank you if you approach it this way. Definitely budget for a couple of gluten free meals and prepare ahead of time to decide what types of meals you prefer to indulge on.

Until next time Disney...

Yes, this is when she decided she loves rollercoasters.
